Transfer Music to Apple Watch from iPhone — Download MP3/FLAC Offline

Transfer Music to Apple Watch from iPhone

OnePlayer can transfer audio files from your iPhone to your Apple Watch for independent offline playback — no phone needed during workouts or walks.

How to Transfer Songs

  1. Make sure OnePlayer is installed on both iPhone and Apple Watch
  2. Open a song list, playlist, album, folder or artist page in the iPhone app
  3. Choose "Transfer to Watch"
  4. Keep iPhone and Apple Watch close together, and keep OnePlayer open on both devices when possible
  5. After the transfer finishes, play the downloaded watch music directly on Apple Watch

For the full listening flow, see Play Music on Apple Watch Without iPhone.

Supported Formats on Apple Watch

The following audio formats can be transferred to and played on the watch: MP3, M4A, AAC, M4B, WAV, AIF, AIFF, AU, CAF, and FLAC.

Note: Some high-bitrate FLAC files may not play on Apple Watch due to hardware limitations.

Transfer Tips

Audio transfer should begin within one minute of initiating. If you see no progress:

  1. Keep OnePlayer open on both devices — don't let the screen turn off
  2. Playing music on your phone during transfer can make the connection more stable
  3. Ensure the watch has sufficient battery (charging both devices speeds up transfer)
  4. Background transfers are supported but their timing is controlled by watchOS

If the progress disappears, it does not always mean the transfer failed. See No Transfer Progress to Apple Watch.
